Exposed Limestone Rock and Pavement

Areas with outcropping limestone rock occur mainly in the northern and south-eastern fringes of the city, often in association with scrub and calcareous grassland.

The collection of plants found in these areas is comparable to parts of the Burren, which is famed for its unusual flora.
